A Consultant Psychiatrist post is available in our Recovery Team based at Harry Blackman House, in the grounds of Peasley Cross Hospital in St Helens.
St Helens Consultants are co-located on the site enhancing communication and promoting excellent patient care in services across the Borough. St Helens is known for its positive working relationships between staff and teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in the service working alongside a well-resourced, experienced and enthusiastic community mental health team. The post holder will have to demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and should have the ability to work as part of multidisciplinary team. The main responsibilities will be to provide clinical, educational, managerial, and leadership contribution to the team. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in management, innovating to develop and maintain an excellent service.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
